Do is used for actions, tasks, or activities that donโt create a physical result.
Make is used when your action creates or produces something (an object, result, sound, decision, etc.).

I need to do my homework. (task)

She made a cake. (created something)

They do yoga every morning. (activity)

He made a mistake. (produced an error)
Use do for general activities, duties, work, and non-productive actions.
โ Exception: Make your bed (not "do your bed").
Use make when you create, produce, or cause something tangible or intangible.
๐น Do = perform an action (no physical result).
๐น Make = create or produce something.
๐น These verbs are used in fixed collocations โ memorize common pairs!
๐น Do is also the auxiliary verb: Do you like it? He doesnโt know.
