Grammar / A2 Grammar lessons and exercises / Present perfect or past simple?

We use the present perfect to talk about recent events or life experiences โ when we donโt mention or donโt care about when it happened.
We use past simple for completed actions in the past โ especially when we mention or ask about the specific time.
We often start a conversation using the present perfect (to introduce a recent event or experience), then switch to past simple to ask for or give details.
